Every day I wake up but want to keep sleeping ,
I eventually get up when it's time to dodo
While on the toilet bowl I gain revelations,
Divine illuminations,
Telling me what to do
See while crapping,
I'm rapping to the Lord,
Asking for answers,
Giving him praise
When the dodo is over,
I clean up & move on,
To embrace the new day
Often in life we hold on to crap,
So much that when we need to let go we can't
What once was useful,
Is not anymore,
& must be removed,
So what's new can be put on
Let it go,
Force it out if you have to,
In the long run do whatever you have to
To let go of the pain & the death that's inside,
What we ate in the past,
We can't keep inside

The things that were lies,

I remember all the crap I was ready to die for,

I tossed on 3rd bass get the gas face,
Then we ate,
Chicken with blueberry pancake
You asked about my mama who I said was doing great,
I thank Jah for her,
Because she is great
I kissed your hand & then we began to embrace,
I was afraid to but,
At the same time couldn't wait
Then my cell phone rang & then I was awake,
Thinking about the crap that we daily put on our plate
Like this is beautiful & this is not,
This is what you do & don't want
This is what you are & what you are not,
This is what you should dream,
& strive to become
I'm up in church & the preacher was preaching,
He's feeding us dodo,
& we're thankfully eating
While the news & entertainment try,
To keep the people blind & hypnotized
& we eat it up just like fast food fries,
The foods that we eat,
Were devised for our demise
This truth is literal & symbolic,
Check out your schools,
Check out your supermarkets
I remember when you & me would talk about this,
While I'd dream about you being my friend,
& then my woman
You told me,
So many people are full of it,
That when they talk,
You make sure you ain't listening
Sometimes you gotta say I ain't taking this dodo,
I don't eat poop,
Nor feed to or poo-poo on people
Some put strawberry & whip cream on top,
& tell you that it's strawberry shortcake
& since we're so hungry,
We eat it like dummies,
Then when it's done we,
Are still hungry
So we eat more of the crap that's killing us,
Stuff that only for the moment,
Is full filling us
