Faith vs Foolishness...
What's the difference? Faith being the evidence of things not seen & the substance of things hoped for. Dictionary.com defines faith as confidence or trust in a person or thing; belief not based on proof. A fool being one who is silly or stupid; a person who lacks judgment or sense. Foolish is showing a lack of sense. We define these things to make sure we're all on an equal level of understanding.
Do we only believe in things when they feed our personal bias or do we dare to challenge our beliefs & what has been told to us? Faith is more than prayer & then expecting to receive that thing prayed for. It is standing on a solid rock firmly planted, immovable. Yet is this immovability due to lack of judgment? Are things not true simply because it goes against our belief system & our personal interpretation of the scriptures?
Let it be said that the bible is truth, while man's interpretation is false. We personally, do not refute truth if it is in another book. Let truth be truth & lies be lies, nomatter where they originate from. All forms of scripture holy or unholy was inspired by a (G)god. We do not believe that the 66 books of the bible are the only writings that are inspired by God. There are many poems, songs, preachings, devotionals & other forms of written word that are inspired by God. Do we not believe that the word given by the man of God (pastor deacons etc) are inspired by God & should be considered as if they came from the mouth of God not the vessel who delivers the message?
Since faith without works is dead (James 2:20), we can denote that neither is enough. Both are needed to produce useful results. If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask God ((James 1:5) & it will be given to him. Acts 5:38-39 teaches us that if a teaching, counsel or movement be man made it will fail, but if it be of God no man will be able to stop it.
God does not need man's help to be God, yet ever since creation He has done no independent act, but has always sent a human to do the task. God's will in our lives & the lives of others is not automatic, someone has to follow the instructions given by God.
