That’s when things started getting weird. We took a head count, all heads accounted for. Everyone that was sent out came back. There was a commotion for a day or 2. no trains have passed by for this time.
I ran into an old crime partner of mine, Paul. We robbed everything from books to toy stories. Our biggest heist was the treasury.
We had 15 others with us who in actuality did all the work. By planting the right thoughts in the right minds we watched them literally kill eachother. That left us 2 with the money. The money was hot, to hot to spend so we buried it under a house in Arizona.
Paul told me it lies there until this day.
When I asked how did he manage to survive & make it back he said he wanted to be here. According to Paul we all wanted to be there & could leave at anytime. He then reached into his pocket.
Out of it he pulled a blue sheet of paper, the train schedule. Tomorrow, 3a.m. a luxury train will stop here. The train ride is 1 week long after 2 stops after this `. we’re only allowed to stay where this train takes us for 5 days then he will return here.
I had wondered where he’d gotten this information, & how he’s still alive, I asked again.
He explained there is no pain we can or will receive. We are all ships being navigated by the mental. Sometimes the currents are strong & the storm last for days. Many of us get sea sick.
Imagine if there is no heaven or hell what would happen after death? We must insure our eternal resting place or else we will be burned to eternal life after death. Imagine walking the earth dead, without a soul or lifeforce. No brain, heart or vital organ but yet still alive. The world’s greatest riches could do nothing about that. But there is still that 1% of hope even for zombies.
Soon here where we stand people will feed off eachother’s flesh for nourishment.
He began to walk & told me to follow. We went up stair to a balcony type place & watched a mother eat her children. The effect of zombifying had already begun. Is there a way to prevent that?
He said yes, but the necessary tools aren’t anywhere near. Our best bet is to pray that we survive until the next train. We will unfortunately grow hungry for flesh like the others.
I still wanted to know how he survived, the more he talked the less sence he made.
I heard banging on the door, that’s when I noticed Paul disappeared. Behind the doors I heard moaning, like the sound of the living dead. The door doesn’t look like it will hold on much longer.
I remembered in high school had a girlfriend, Mary. She was my 1st in many ways. Her long red hair captured my heart. She promised to marry me our junior year in college 1 night we made love & fell asleep. When I woke up she was gone, I never saw her again.
The door had collapsed & there was me looking into living flesh. A man without a soul, whose feeling were so dead he didn’t notice someone chewing up his toes. He stood there & stared at me then he turned around as did others behind him.
Nobody goes before their time as father said before he overdosed.
The next train came at 3a.m. & I got on it.
The train was truly luxurious, sofar, beds & full coarse meals. I had went car to car to find I was the only passenger. I had looked out the window & saw people walking the tracks searching similar to the people we sent out. Within seconds their intestine were splattered allover the outside of the train. How they screamed in agony & fear.
The train made its first stop. The conductor got out & hosed the blood off the train. While walking to the train the conductor just fell out & died.
The train began to move again. There were people inside the train. I had wondered if they were dead or alive.
1 explained only some of us can see eachother one certain persons like you (meaning me). Some of us can only hear certain persons & can’t see them some can’t see or hear while others can hear but not see, or see & not hear.
He explained he couldn’t hear a word. I said but could clearly see & understand my friend Paul.
